Property Law
Property matters, handled with precision.
Property is, for most New Zealanders, the largest transaction of a lifetime. Lexcom advises buyers, sellers, developers, and lenders across the residential and commercial market with the patience and discipline a transaction of that scale deserves.

Process
How a property engagement runs.
-
Initial conversation
We listen first. Jurisdiction, timeline, parties, financing, and any complications surfaced before scope is set. This conversation carries no charge.
-
Engagement and scope
A written engagement letter follows, documenting the services, timelines, disbursements, and expected timing. Nothing substantive begins until both sides have signed.
-
Execution
Searches, drafting, negotiation, due diligence, bank documentation, and settlement coordination — handled directly by the director with regular plain-language updates.
-
Close and aftercare
Settlement, registration, and the secure handover of records. Files are retained for at least seven years per New Zealand Law Society requirements.
