Profile
Manoj began his legal training at the University of London, reading for the LLB (Hons) — a foundation in common law principles that continues to inform the way he approaches contractual drafting and property work today.
On returning to Sri Lanka, he was admitted as an Attorney-at-Law of the Supreme Court, where his early professional grounding was shaped by the practical realities of an active commercial bar. The experience instilled an enduring view that the document is only as good as the conversation that produced it.
A move to New Zealand followed, and admission as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand. To deepen his specialisation in the local commercial environment, he undertook the LLM (Hons) at the University of Auckland — a programme that sharpened his focus on the regulatory, contractual, and property frameworks particular to New Zealand practice.
Lexcom Legal was founded as a deliberately boutique firm: focused on property and commercial work, owner-led on every matter, and offered to individuals and small-to-mid sized businesses with the transparency that the profession sometimes resists. Manoj continues to practise in English and Singhalese, and serves clients across Auckland and the wider New Zealand market.
